The Liver Function 6004 pathology profile measures the level of certain enzymes (proteins) in the blood to determine whether the liver is functioning correctly.

The liver is a critical organ in the human body. It is responsible for filtering all of the blood in the body and breaking down any harmful substance or toxin, such as alcohol and drugs. A damaged liver may lead to very serious health conditions.

Patients experiencing unexplained weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, abdominal pain or nausea and vomiting may benefit from this pathology.
